Reading this felt like I had just visited - whats nice to see is that some of the lesser known birds and mammals are still there - I love Bempton more when I have it to myself just me and the other wildlife
It’s a magical place outside of peak hours isn’t it?! Every time I visit I end up checking house prices in the area and daydreaming about having it on my doorstep.
Ah - I have been visiting Bempton since I was a child. Such a stunning place with so many birds. Though I do think it has become too well-known and popular now - sometimes you have to queue to get a spot on the viewing platforms.
So glad you enjoyed your trip, and well done getting such great photos!
Thoroughly enjoyed this Gem. You took some great shots. Lynda and I had one last call in this morning. It was absolutely heaving with visitors by 11 and we left at 12. Now back in Suffolk. Once again, so lovely to meet you.
Oh yes it was unpleasantly busy yesterday. I only stuck it out for an hour once the visitor centre opened. Glad you’re home safe and had some interesting sightings. Lovely meeting you and Lynda, too!
I’m kind of obsessed with gannets, razorbills, and puffins. Great photos! Reminds me of Iceland where I saw my first puffins last summer, and so many other birds constantly wheeling about.
Looks like an amazing place! I love all those birds!! I hope to see Gannets in a few days in PEI and I saw some Razorbills in Grand Manan earlier this year - they have such interesting faces! I haven't seen a Puffin in years but they are one of my favourites.
Really enjoyed reading this Gem. Thank you 🤩
Aww thank YOU ☺️

Wonderful post. Love the razorbill photo!
This place has been on my bucket list. Thank you for sharing your experience and great photos.
It’s magical, you’ll love it!

Eep! Tiny Whitethroat love!
Back to reading.
I want to say the Puffin was my favourite, but the Whitethroat was so cute I think it might win that contest!
That Razorbill is my spirit animal. Not Razorbills, that Razorbill. Drifting off in the sun in a patch of flowers.
Oh I am smiling quite big. Thank you!

I agree - something super charming about the razorbills, there’s nothing quite like them!
